I am Afrikan Simba, a chanter, broadcaster, and thinker with Anglo-Nigerian roots. Born in East London on January 11, 1967, I was drawn to the power of sound systems and the teachings of Rastafari in my teenage years. My musical journey began with my first recording for producer and singer Dub Judah, who is now the bassist for Twinkle Brothers. Growing up in the 1980s, I experienced the harsh realities of casual racism and, later in life, even faced a period of imprisonment in the early 2000s. Despite these challenges, I have remained deeply committed to my craft and my beliefs, earning recognition as one of the most respected figures on the UK reggae scene today.
