I was born in London in 1954, but Jamaica became my home for 11 years, shaping me in ways I could never have imagined. It was there that I truly connected with reggae—its rhythm, its message, its soul. During my time in Jamaica, I had the incredible experience of meeting Bob Marley and The Wailers, a moment that left a lasting impact on my journey as an artist. When I returned to London, I carried that reggae spirit with me. The music isn’t just something I play—it’s a part of who I am. I’ve been lucky enough to work with some incredible musicians, including Bob Marley’s legendary band, The Wailers. That was a dream come true and a reminder of why I do this to honour the roots of reggae while bringing my own voice and energy to the music.
