I am Winston Reedy, a Jamaican-born, UK-based reggae singer and songwriter with a career spanning more than five decades. I began my journey in North London before becoming the lead singer of pioneering British reggae group The Cimarons, touring internationally and recording the Jamaican number-one hit “Talking Blues.” As a solo artist, I became known for songs including “Daughter of Zion,” “Paradise in Your Eyes” and “Dim the Light,” which topped the Black Echoes reggae chart for nine weeks. I was voted Best British Male Vocalist by BBC Radio London listeners for three consecutive years and later toured with UB40. My music continues to celebrate reggae, lovers rock, Jamaican culture and the connection between Britain and the Caribbean.
