I’m Lloyd “Jah Bunny” Donaldson, a reggae drummer who has dedicated his career to helping shape the sound of UK reggae. Born in 1949, I made my mark during the 1970s as the drummer for Matumbi, one of Britain’s pioneering reggae bands. In 1977, I was voted Best Reggae Drummer at the Black Echoes Reggae Awards. Throughout my career, I have worked with respected reggae artists and bands, including The Cimarons, while always staying true to the rhythm and foundations of reggae music. I now perform with Jah Bunny All Stars, a seven-piece reggae band available for live performances, studio sessions and other music projects. My passion for reggae remains as strong as ever, and I am proud to have contributed to a genre that continues to influence and inspire generations.
