Jermaine Young-Bushay, Founder of Caribbeans Connects Casting platform, was invited to Dalston to celebrate its rich Black music and cultural heritage on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Sir Collins Legacy Honours event in Dalston Square.
The first 10 of 150 engraved stones were unveiled in the New Cross Fire Memory Garden, honouring pioneers who shaped Dalston’s music, nightlife, and entrepreneurship. The ceremony also featured a new history panel, a pop-up museum display, and Caribbean food from Cummin’ Up Caribbean Restaurant.
