Description : The New York Caribbean Carnival returns to Brooklyn for Labor Day weekend, culminating in the spectacular West Indian American Day Carnival Parade on Monday 7 September 2026. One of North America's biggest celebrations of Caribbean culture, the Carnival brings the streets of Brooklyn alive with colourful mas costumes, steelpan, soca, calypso, reggae, Caribbean food, dancing and communities representing islands and nations from across the Caribbean. The main Labor Day parade takes place along Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, with masqueraders, bands, floats and performers celebrating Caribbean heritage and culture. Carnival celebrations take place across the Labor Day weekend, with additional events including the Junior Carnival, Youth Fest, live music events and Caribbean cultural activities.
